Volunteer with Calvary
We are the Church (Volunteer to Serve).
Join Us In Serving Our Greater San Francisco Community
We share God's abundance with our neighbors in San Francisco and beyond.
Calvary partners with several nonprofits in San Francisco – going beyond the walls is a great way to be the church at work. Seeking guidance from Jesus' radical ministry, Calvary has several volunteer-led initiatives, such as our Racial Equity Initiative and Living Sanctuary Ministry supporting immigrants and refugees.
If you're looking for a way to give back to the community, contact us and we can find you an opportunity to match your interests.

Would you like to be an Usher at Calvary?
Building community relies on being a welcoming and hospitable space for folks of all ages, races, orientations, and abilities to find respite and peace here at Calvary.
Our Ushers help welcome in our congregation - both new and familiar faces - before and during our 10am Sunday Service.
- Greet people as they walk through the doors
- Hand them a Sunday bulletin packet and any other handout we may have for them that day
- Direct folks to Calvin Hall or the restrooms
- Collect the offering toward the end of the service
- Answer any questions people might have or find a staff person to help
