Annual Pledge

Each year we invite members and friends to make a financial statement of faith or pledge to support Calvary’s ministry and mission. This stewardship practice is a celebration of God’s blessings. 


Your financial commitment provides 52 weeks of worship and music, Bible study, small groups, pastoral care and support, education and fellowship for children, youth, families and adults, community outreach, essential hospitality and welcome, and numerous other programs. A pledge is like an estimate of giving for the coming year.


Note: Making a pledge and fulfilling a pledge are two separate steps.

  • Why pledge?

    Spiritually speaking, a pledge is your response to the abundant blessings in your life. Pledging helps to transform your giving into a spiritual practice. With a pledge, you make a commitment to God and to Calvary. When you fulfill a pledge, it becomes a regular spiritual practice like attending worship, praying, reading scripture, and serving the broader community.


    Practically speaking, a pledge is an estimate of your giving for the coming year, which funds everything we do as a community of faith: worship and music, pastoral care, outreach, education and fellowship for all ages and stages of life, our facilities and salaries for our pastors and staff.

  • How much should I pledge?

    There is no right amount to pledge. The decision of how much to pledge should be personal and thoughtful. Each pledge is important and meaningful regardless of the amount.


    Some may consider tithing, the practice of sharing 10% of your income, the standard for Christian giving. That would be wonderful, but we recognize that not everyone is able to give at that level. Prayerfully consider a pledge amount that reflects your life situation.


    You can always increase or decrease your pledge amount before you fulfill it. Just let us know! 

  • How do I fulfill my pledge?

    Contributions towards a pledge can be make from January 1 through December 31. There are many ways to fulfill a pledge:

    • Check – please send a check payable to Calvary and write “pledge for 20xx” on the memo line.
    • Online – visit the Member Portal to make a one-time gift or to set-up a recurring gift.
    • Stock Donation – stock donations are welcome and the process is simple.
    • Sunday Plate Offering – place cash or check donations in the offering plate (pew envelopes are available for this purpose).

  • Can I dedicate Flowers?

    Absolutely! Please email rachelwolf@calpres.org with your dedication and you can select the "Flower" Fund at the donation form at the top of this page. Each flower dedication is $75, so please put the amount that reflects how many you're dedicating (2 dedications = $150) and write in the memo line who they are for. Thank you!
