Looking for Land: September 11, 10 AM

September 11 2022, 10am
We begin a new year of the Narrative Lectionary readings today with the story of the Flood. God created the world for good, but six chapters into our story, humanity has made a mess of things. It's easy to see evidence of that in our world today. But our faith calls us to be looking for land, even when we're 40 days out to sea. This story ends with a rainbow, a reminder that God doubles down on their promise to be in relationship with a humanity that has broken God’s heart and that has forgotten to be God’s. Let's remember God's promise and look for land together as we begin a new program year.
