Lines in the Sand

March 7 2021, 10am
When people bring to Jesus the woman caught by herself in the act of adultery, Jesus stoops down and starts writing in the sand. Maybe we should do more writing in the sand too, rather than writing online, etching in stone, etc. Things written in the sand are not permanent. They allow you to change your mind. The sand will blow away. Or you can move your hand across it and it will disappear. Or rains will come. Things written in the sand allow you to reconsider and to write something else. To slow down on passing judgment and to consider another perspective. How can sand writing help us in our call to reconciliation?
