West Bay Antiracism Regional Meeting

The West Bay Antiracism Group will be holding its next meeting on Thursday, May 19, 2022, 4:00-5:30 pm via Zoom. All who are interested are welcome to attend.

The focus of the meeting this month will be on Mutual Solidarity, with a particular focus on how Asian Americans work in solidarity with African Americans.

The meeting will feature three Asian American activists:

• Jon Osaki, Executive Director of Japanese Community Youth Council and award-winning filmmaker of “Alternative Facts: The Lies of Executive Order 9066”, “Not Your Model Minority” and most recently, “Reparations”;
• Rev. Deborah Lee, Executive Director of the Interfaith Movement for Human Integrity,
• Marion Kwan, civil rights activist and historian, who worked with the Delta Ministry in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in the summers of 1965-66, and member of the Bay Area Veterans for Civil Rights Movement, and former community college counselor serving economically and educationally disadvantaged students at City College of San Francisco”
