Come home to Calvary
Volunteer with a team of Calvary folks to cook and serve hot, nutritious dinners to approximately 100 homeless men staying at the Interfaith Winter Shelter at the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Church, 1187 Franklin Street (corner of O’Farrell). Choose from February 6-13.
Meet in the UU kitchen at 5:30 pm and finish about 8:30 pm. No cooking experience needed – just a willingness to pitch in and chop, stir, or carry a tray! Families with vaccinated children 13 years or older welcome. Sign-up online today OR during coffee hour beginning January 9 – this popular volunteer activity fills up quickly. Calvary has been providing these delicious meals and welcoming the homeless every winter for 30 years. Questions?
Contact John Knightly firstname.lastname@example.org or Betsy Dodd email@example.com.
Note: All volunteers must sign up in advance and provide proof of vaccination one week prior to the service date. All volunteers will also be required to have proof of vaccination on site in case they are asked. Masks and gloves will be required. Children 13 and older who are vaccinated can volunteer along with one adult parent or guardian.
