Volunteer with a team of Calvary folks to cook and serve hot, nutritious dinners to homeless men staying at the Interfaith Winter Shelter at the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Church, 1187 Franklin Street (corner of O’Farrell). Choose a date from Sunday, Feb. 3 through Saturday, Feb. 9. We meet in the UU kitchen at 5:30 pm and finish about 8:30 pm. No cooking experience needed – just a willingness to pitch in and chop, stir, or carry a tray! Families welcome. Sign-up during coffee hours in January – this popular volunteer activity fills up quickly. Calvary has been providing these delicious meals and welcoming the homeless every winter for 30 years.
