Seeking volunteers for the Salvation Army’s 2017 Back 2 School Carnival where they distribute approximately 1,400 backpacks and school supplies to underserved kids in the community.
Rather than just handing out school supplies The Salvation Army creates a fun carnival atmosphere where each school age child receives a backpack and then makes their way around different stations to play games and receive school supplies as “prizes.” The event also includes games for their siblings who aren’t school age. And of course, parents/guardians come to have fun, enjoy snacks and build community. It’s a big day with lots of people coming and going and the Salvation Army needs Calvary volunteers!
Volunteer opportunities include:
Note: 3-hour AM/PM shifts available.
