Volunteer Opportunity: Pack-a-Sack

Walking in love and responding to what we can, please join the Calvary Deacons and Faith in Action team in a special community building and homeless outreach serving opportunity on Sunday, August 6. Following Calvary’s morning worship, we will hold a Pack-a-Sack in Calvin Hall to assemble 300 “To-Go” meals. Those who are interested will head to Open Cathedral at UN Plaza to worship and serve in partnership with our friends at SF Night Ministry. Open Cathedral, an outdoor worship service for San Francisco’s unhoused, is an opportunity to meet people where they are and offer the gifts of undivided attention and a loving presence.

1.     11:15 am– 12:15 pm: Pack-a-Sack (Calvin Hall)
2.     2 pm: Open Cathedral (UN Plaza, Leavenworth & McAllister)
3.     3 pm: Pack-a-Sack Distribution (UN Plaza, Leavenworth & McAllister)

Please sign up HERE. All ages welcome to assemble sack lunches. Children & youth with a parent or guardian are welcome to distribute meals at UN Plaza.

Please read participation guidelines carefully. Open Cathedral and Pack-a-Sack distribution are outdoor events.
