New Door Ventures offers paid job readiness training, internships and educational support for youth ages 16-24 who are not working or in school. New Door’s vision is a world where all young people can successfully transition to independent adulthoods. Embedded in every detail of New Door Ventures’ program design is the understanding that youth who are black, Indigenous, and people of color (who make up 97% of program participants) are not solely overcoming the effects of growing up in a context of racism and inequity, but are faced with navigating how to enter, adapt, and succeed in employment environments that are unwelcoming to them.
