Giving Tree: Donate Gift Cards for New Door Ventures Youth

Help brighten the holidays for youth at New Door Ventures (one of Calvary’s Matthew 25 Partners for Change) by providing gift cards. Young people, ages 16-24, were unemployed or not in school before enrolling at New Door; some have children to care for; many are experiencing unstable housing. This community acutely still feels the health and economic impacts of COVID-19.

New Door has a Holiday Wish List, with a variety of businesses for which they are requesting $25 gift cards, including: Target, Safeway, Grocery Outlet, Ross, H&M, Sephora, GameStop, Etsy and Forever 21.

You can get more information or drop off your cards on Sunday mornings at the Christmas tree in the atrium. You can also leave cards at the front desk, marked “For New Door Ventures.”

You can also purchase and send cards online, at: https://www.myregistry.com/wishlist/new-door-youth-san-francisco-ca/3037025/giftlist . Please be sure to enter a gift recipient: Jessica Yost, jyost@newdoor.org. The electronic cards will then go via email to Jessica, the New Door Ventures volunteer coordinator, and she will distribute them to the youth.
