Come home to Calvary
Don’t Fall!!
Alla Rivas of the San Francisco Department of Public Health will be here to share information about the CHIPPS program—the Community and Home Injury Prevention Program for Seniors. The most likely injury leading to hospitalization or death for Seniors is a fall, and the most likely place for Seniors to fall is in their own home. But falls are preventable, and Alla will share tips for avoiding falls. She will also give us information about services the city provides for free to both assess our homes for hazards and to provide small repairs or safety improvements. Every San Francisco Senior over age 60 is eligible for these services, whether you own or rent and whether your are a United States citizen or not. Please join us for this informative program. Soup and salad lunch follows ($2).
PLEASE NOTE: PROOF OF VACCINATION WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ALL ATTENDEES, AND MASKS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES WHEN NOT ACTIVELY EATING OR DRINKING. If this is your first time at Seniors, please plan to arrive early to register and show your proof of vaccination status before you can join the fun in Calvin Hall.
If you’re sixty plus and interested in joining the Calvary Senior Adults mailing list for information about upcoming programs, please contact Marion Stanton at marionstanton@calpres.org.
