Come home to Calvary
Sunday Worship Starts at 10am today! Join us in person or live stream here:
Docent Carol Porter, one of our favorite speakers, returns with a presentation about the just-opened exhibition of Egyptian treasures at the deYoung Museum. Ramses II, known as Ramses the Great, was the most celebrated and powerful pharaoh of the New Kingdom, which was Egypt’s golden age. Believed to be a living god, Ramses ruled for 67 years, erecting enormous temples, obelisks, and statues while also expanding Egypt’s empire.
Carol will explore Ramses’ life and discuss the marvelous treasures in this exhibition, from the pharaoh’s colossal royal sculpture to mummies and exquisite Egyptian jewelry. Soup and salad lunch follows ($2).
Senior Adults—Calvary members and non-members alike—are welcome at Calvary to enjoy lively fellowship in a convivial atmosphere.
The Senior Adults group meets on the second Tuesday of the month for a program and hot lunch. Our program schedule includes speakers, performers, movies and more.
We also meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month for an informal brown bag lunch and fellowship.
Attendees range in age from 60 to 90+. Proof of vaccination is required and masks must be worn at all times except when actively eating or drinking.
