REI: Do the Work! An Antiracist Workshop

The Racial Equity Initiative team invites you to a two-part antiracism workshop using material from the Do the Work! An Antiracist Activity Book. Open to ages 12 and older.

Schedule:

  • Part 1: 10 am – 12 pm  A repeat of the popular May 7th introductory workshop
    Audience: Newcomers and those who attended the May workshop who would like a refresher.
  • Lunch: 12 – 12:30 pm (at Calvary)
  • Part 2: 12:30 – 2 pm  New hands-on activities and exercises from the Do the Work! book, to help put your learnings into action.Audience: Those who have completed the May 7 or Oct 14 Part 1 workshop.

You are welcome to attend all or a portion of the workshop, depending upon your experience and interest, as indicated in the registration form. Registration is required for planning purposes.

Do the Work! An Antiracist Activity Book was created by Bay Area residents, W. Kamau Bell, a sociopolitical comedian and host of United Shades of America, and Kate Schatz, a bestselling author and co-founder of Solidarity SundaysDo the Work! is a simple, fun resource for anyone looking to improve the way they think about race and identity in America.
