Join us on Saturday, April 28 at 10 am, for a walking tour of the famous Mission Murals, the colorful public art that depicts that community’s history and culture.
We’ll cover seven blocks while learning about several murals, including those in the well-known Balmy Alley. We’ll also stop by Precita Eyes, the community art store and studio, and maybe meet some of the muralists.
After the tour, you are invited to join us for an optional lunch in the Mission District. Details to follow.
San Francisco City Guide Christine Giordano, who led us on a great tour of North Beach last year, will be our leader for the Mission Murals tour this year. We are in for another treat!
City Guides has offered us a discounted group price of $12/person.
Online sign-ups are now closed but please show up with $12/person at the meeting location below if you are interested in joining us.
Meet at the NW corner of Precita Ave. and Harrison St., by Precita Park and behind Flynn Elementary School at 9:45 am. Public transportation: MUNI lines 12, 27.
