Blessing of the Animals

Do you love your pets? Do you have a special place in your heart for all God’s creatures? Join us for the Blessing of the Animals—a tradition of the church started in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, the saint this very city is named for!

Calvary’s Blessing of the Animals will be held at the side garden of the church on Jackson Street (on your way to Alta Plaza Park!) Each animal who would like one will receive a special, hands-on blessing from the pastors. This event is open to the community, and pets of all shapes, sizes, and species are welcome!
