Come home to Calvary
Badè Museum of Biblical Archaeology’s Traveling Exhibit Comes to Calvary!
The traveling exhibit from the Badè Museum is coming to Calvary! Come learn about the excavation techniques and what we can learn from these archaeological remains on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in the Library Lounge from 11:30-12:30pm.
The exhibit will be available to view in the Lounge from Sunday, September 26 through Sunday, October 3, 2021.
The Badè Museum of Biblical Archaeology consists of materials from the site of Tell en-Nasbeh, excavated under the direction of William F. Badè. Dr. Badè’s work at Tell en-Nasbeh represents one of the earliest scientific excavations in Palestine. The traveling exhibit includes artifacts and replicas from the original Tell en-Nasbeh excavations such as lamps, oil juglets, sling stones, and ceramic pitchers and features what daily life in an ancient Judean town might have been like.
Come experience the 16 individual artifacts dating between 1000-500 B.C.; 10 display panels with photographs and labels, and a replica oil lamp you may light!
