Art-Making in Calvin Hall

September 19 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Let’s create art together on Sunday, September 19th in Calvin Hall during Coffee Hour!

Please join us in expressing yourself creatively, considering your time during the pandemic. What did you notice? How did you feel God’s presence in your life? Did you take photos, bake bread, write in a journal, color or paint?

Create something after worship, and either take your piece home with you or submit it for the upcoming Calvary Art Show*. (All kinds of art are welcome – children, youth, adults, and seniors – professional, amateur, abstract, or literal!)

* More info on the Calvary Art Show: Processing the Pandemic

On Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 11:30 am, Calvary will be showcasing a community Art Show in the Library Lounge. Members and friends of the congregation are encouraged to submit art that they created either during the pandemic or that represents and remembers what you have experienced during the pandemic. A light reception will be provided, and all are invited to view the artwork and speak with the artists.

To participate in the Art Show: Please submit your artwork to Rev. Joann H Lee, along with your name, a title, and a brief description (2 or 3 sentences) of how this piece connects with your experience during the pandemic. All art is due by Sunday, September 26th.

Questions, please contact Joann Lee at joannlee@calpres.org.
