January 14 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 11:30am on Sunday, repeating until January 28, 2018

In October 1517 Martin Luther triggered the Protestant Revolution by challenging the Christian Church and theologians on a matter of doctrine. Following his thoughts to his logical conclusion, after only a few years, Luther had jettisoned almost the entire Church structure, lock, stock, and barrel, including the Pope.  A surprising number of people agreed with him, and the Christian world of Western Europe split violently into one Catholic and many Protestant religions. Millions of daily lives were turned upside down. How exactly did Luther do this? What kind of world could enable and then support a revolution of this magnitude?
