Children and Youth

At Calvary we are committed to supporting our children, youth and families by providing opportunities for worship, education, fellowship and service.

Our mission:

  • Equip children with the knowledge that they are loved by God and this community through fellowship.
  • Encourage children families to grow in their relationship with God by providing times for education, prayer and play.
  • Give children, youth and families opportunities to serve and give generously.

Education

The goal of the Christian Education at Calvary is to help our young people know God by offering age-appropriate Bible-based lessons, creative crafts and engaging activities.

Nursery care is available every Sunday from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm on The Lower Level.

Children’s Ministries

The goal of Christian Education at Calvary is to help our young people know God by offering age-appropriate lessons, creative crafts and engaging activities.

  • Zero through 3rd Grade: After the children’s message in the 10 am service, our younger kids are invited to gather in the Lower Level for Sunday Studio – worshiping in a way that is kid friendly through song, dance, bible lessons and drama. After the kid friendly worship time, we will break into sections by age group to reinforce the lesson of the day through creative arts and games.
  • 4th Grade and Older: These children are invited to stay in worship through the sermon then gather by age groups on the Second Floor to discuss what they heard and experienced in the worship service.
  • Confirmation Class: Geared toward middle and high-schoolers who want to know more about what it means to be a person of faith, participants will learn what we believe in as a church and form a better understanding of what they believe in as individuals. Classes start in February and end on Easter Sunday.
