Other adult mission trips have been engaged in construction and relief, in Mexico and the Gulf Coast, but this first trip to Cuba will be about learning and exchanging ideas. We hope to come away with a detailed understanding of opportunities for future work. We will also have an opportunity to see what effect Calvary's previous financial contributions have had on the work of the church. A detailed itinerary has been developed with input from the Cuban church leaders, along with trip FAQs. Application forms from all trip participants due by noon at Calvary office. You must also include you deposit of $100, refundable until the purchase of flight tickets. Only members of Calvary Presbyterian Church, and employees are eligible to travel on our license. Trip cost to be finalized for ticket purchase.

Historical Context of Cuba

This meeting will be a presentation of the historical context of Cuba from pre-Columbian times through the 1950s. Designed to help trip participants get a sense of the land and people, with an emphasis on Pre-Revolution ties to the United States. Presentation, question and answer period. Additionally there will be short discussion on currency exchange protocols. Approx: 1 ½ hours.

A review of the trip with a discussion for a recommendation to the Serving Commission for future involvement between Calvary and the Cuban church. Discussion of a presentation to the congregation. Approx: 1 ½ hours.
